About

In January 2016, I stepped on a running track for the first time.
The following August, I competed in the World Ultra-MultiEvent Championships.
Tetra-Decathlon is a solo theatre show, charting my journey.

As I marvelled at Jessica Ennis-Hill returning from childbirth to win the heptathlon at the World Championships, I idly Googled athletic multi-events, and in the process, stumbled across Tetradecathlons & Icosathlons. These Ultra Multievents feature twice as many events as their Olympic siblings, over the same amount of time- 2 days.

So having never raced, hurdled, jumped or thrown in my life, I learned 14 different track & field events, in order to compete in the tetradecathlon at the 2017 World Championships in Belgium.

The 14 events of tetradecathlon are as follows:
Run- 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m.
Hurdles- 100m, 200m, 400m
Jumps- long jump, high jump
Throws- shot-put, javelin, discus.
